Presently, Ms. Broderick is writing an easy-read version of this text for a layperson’s audience.

Andrea Clement is the President of Clem.co, Healthcare Communications and Career Collateral. She has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare staffing industry, including ten years as a healthcare recruiter placing physicians and advanced practice clinicians in hospitals and health systems across the country, and more than a decade of experience providing media relations and communications for a variety of corporations including healthcare staffing, clinical research, medical publishing, and physician consulting firms. From 2007-2018, Andrea wrote about healthcare careers and provided online medical career / job search advice for About.com, which is now VeryWell.com and TheBalance.com, both of which host much of her health career content currently.

Dr. Luke Allen

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Luke Allen (he/him/his) is a licensed psychologist in Oregon and Nevada in full-time telehealth private practice and has over three years of experience working in university and college counseling centers, most recently at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has supervised graduate students in a training capacity since 2018 and continues to support graduate students in individual therapy. Dr. Allen specializes in college student mental health, treating anxiety and depression, as well as working with transgender and non-binary youth and their families on matters related to gender identity. Dr. Allen is also a WPATH Standards of Care 7 (SOC7) Certified Member and a WPATH SOC7 Certified Mentor and a co-author of the Standards of Care for the Health of Transgender and Gender Diverse People, Version 8.

Rachel Hallnan is a PhD student in the Hydrologic Sciences program at University of Nevada, Reno. Her research focuses on the impacts of climate change on alpine water systems. Rebecca (MSW, LCS) is a psychotherapist and writer in Philadelphia, specializing in working with and content about eating disorders, anxiety, depression, infertility, substance abuse, grief and loss, gender and sexuality, trauma, and adjustment to life changes. She earned a BA in Creative Writing from Oberlin College and an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania, where she received the John Hope Franklin Award for Combating American Racism.

Wesley Wade

Wesley Wade is a PhD candidate in the counseling and counselor education program at North Carolina State University, where he researches the associations between neurodivergence, career development, and components of racial identity. Wade is a licensed clinical mental health counselor, clinical addiction specialist, and nationally certified counselor who collaborates as a neurodiversity consultant with various organizations internationally. He’s cultivated career programming in higher education through the state of North Carolina for neurodivergent students as well as programs that center on the experiences of undergraduate Black men attending primarily white institutions (PWIs).
