Alicia A. Broderick, Ph.D., a critical autism and disability studies scholar and a professor of education at Montclair State University. Recently, she wrote an award-winning book, The Autism Industrial Complex: How Branding, Marketing, and Capital Investment Turned Autism into Big Business. Presently, Ms. Broderick is writing an easy-read version of this text for a layperson’s audience.

Andrea Clement is the President of Clem.co, Healthcare Communications and Career Collateral. She has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare staffing industry, including ten years as a healthcare recruiter placing physicians and advanced practice clinicians in hospitals and health systems across the country, and more than a decade of experience providing media relations and communications for a variety of corporations including healthcare staffing, clinical research, medical publishing, and physician consulting firms. From 2007-2018, Andrea wrote about healthcare careers and provided online medical career / job search advice for About.com, which is now VeryWell.com and TheBalance.com, both of which host much of her health career content currently.

Antonia O’Planick, PsyD, is a clinical health psychologist. She specializes in treating mood disorders, eating disorders, and comorbid medical conditions. She has more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field working in a variety of settings including large hospital systems, inpatient mental health treatment, specialized outpatient centers, and outpatient care. She currently operates a private practice, Align Psychological Health.

Dr. Jolie is a three-time tenured California State University Professor.

Dr. Luke Allen (he/him/his) is a licensed psychologist in Oregon and Nevada in full-time telehealth private practice and has over three years of experience working in university and college counseling centers, most recently at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has supervised graduate students in a training capacity since 2018 and continues to support graduate students in individual therapy. Dr. Allen specializes in college student mental health, treating anxiety and depression, as well as working with transgender and non-binary youth and their families on matters related to gender identity. Dr. Allen is also a WPATH Standards of Care 7 (SOC7) Certified Member and a WPATH SOC7 Certified Mentor and a co-author of the Standards of Care for the Health of Transgender and Gender Diverse People, Version 8.

E. Scott England is an assistant professor at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He also serves as the Director of the Education Leadership EdD program. He has previously served as a first and third grade teacher, an elementary principal, and a district superintendent.

Mary Walker, PhD, recently completed her postdoc in medical sciences at Harvard University. Dr. Walker has first-hand knowledge of the health consequences that can result from stress during your doctoral program.

Md Rafiqul Islam, PhD, graduated from Kent State University in 2020 and is now an instructor at The University of Alabama. Originally from Bangladesh, his research focuses on climatology and the South Asian monsoon climate.

Michael Fountain is a strategic leader with experience in operational efficiencies, transformational processes, and innovative strategies, with a proven track record of increased process improvements, strategic project management, and leading large transformation and changes management efforts. Fountain is a scholar, professional, military veteran, and DEI advocate for building, creating, and sustaining diverse work outcomes and nurturing organizational cultures.

Rachel Hallnan is a PhD student in the Hydrologic Sciences program at University of Nevada, Reno. Her research focuses on the impacts of climate change on alpine water systems. She also works as a Hydrologist in Yosemite National Park. When she’s not out working in the streams of the Sierra Nevada, you’ll find her climbing, running, reading, or drinking coffee with a delicious pastry.

Rebecca (MSW, LCS) is a psychotherapist and writer in Philadelphia, specializing in working with and content about eating disorders, anxiety, depression, infertility, substance abuse, grief and loss, gender and sexuality, trauma, and adjustment to life changes. She earned a BA in Creative Writing from Oberlin College and an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania, where she received the John Hope Franklin Award for Combating American Racism.

Robert Bolden began working in the financial services industry soon after ending his football career. He spent six years gaining experience and licensing as a financial advisor for an insurance-focused broker-dealer before branching off into the fee-only space. Outside the office, Rob is either exercising, spending time with family and friends, or burying his head in a book.

Wesley Wade is a PhD candidate in the counseling and counselor education program at North Carolina State University, where he researches the associations between neurodivergence, career development, and components of racial identity. Wade is a licensed clinical mental health counselor, clinical addiction specialist, and nationally certified counselor who collaborates as a neurodiversity consultant with various organizations internationally. He’s cultivated career programming in higher education through the state of North Carolina for neurodivergent students as well as programs that center on the experiences of undergraduate Black men attending primarily white institutions (PWIs).
